We woke up to horse hooves clopping on our street. Not sure where this guy was going. Unlike Seville, we haven't seen horse and carriages here for tourists. In fact, Rick Steves doesn't even have Valencia in his Spain book. It's definitely worth a visit.
We took a morning stroll by a neighborhood by the Plaza del Carmen, which had some great buildings and lots of street art.
The Museum of Modern Art was in the same neighborhood. It was a nice little museum. I really liked the sculptures by Julio Gonzales.
We stopped at a small restaurant in the afternoon--a family run operation with good food. As we were sitting watching a door across the street, people kept coming out of the door with costumes on. We asked the folks in the restaurant what was going on and they said this was the neighborhood contingent of the Corpus Christi procession (we're now at day 3).
After eating we went over to watch the procession. We just stayed for about an hour and saw all the folks that were getting ready by the neighborhood restaurant. It was pretty impressive.
Each group played drums and recorders and did a dance. Lots of fun!! Back at our hotel we still had parades coming down our street. This was a military group.

We ended the day at the Colon Market where there are lots of restaurants. The food was not nearly as good as the Bank restaurant building in Seville, but the building itself was magnificent.
