Valencia Day 9: Turia Gardens and the sea

Woke up this morning to this scene of little girls across the street.

We then walked the Turia Gardens.  This used to be a river that surrounded the old city of Valencia and kept overflowing.  The river was diverted to the south of the city and there are 9 kilometers of gardens in what used to be the river bed.  It is so lovely.  We walked half of the gardens.

There was also art throughout the park and a pool for pooches.

The City of Arts and Sciences is a series of museums, arts venues, and an aquarium.  We are going to visit tomorrow.  We walked by it in the park today.  It looks like Tomorrowland.

The architecture around these buildings is striking.

We ended up at the beach for a paella.  I keep forgetting to take photos of the paella before we start eating.  I got this one about half way through.

The view from the restaurant.

This was a lovely day.
